Constitution of the BMW Motorrad Club Zimbabwe

Article I: Name and Objectives

  • Name: BMW Motorrad Club Zimbabwe
  • Objectives:

    • Promote BMW motorcycles and related interests
    • Foster a community of BMW enthusiasts
    • Advance riding skills and safety
    • Provide a platform for members to connect and ride together

Article II: Structure and Management

  • Committee: The club is managed by an elected committee consisting of:

    • Chairperson
    • Vice Chairperson
    • Treasurer
    • Secretary
  • Committee Responsibilities: The committee oversees the club’s activities, finances, and operations.

Article III: Membership

  • Eligibility: Membership is open to those who:

    • Hold a valid motorcycle license
    • Own a BMW motorcycle
    • Apply for membership in the prescribed manner
  • Application Approval: All membership applications are subject to approval by the Committee, which
    reserves the right to accept or decline any application without assigning a reason.
  • Membership Card: Upon approval of a membership application, the member will be issued with a Club
    Card, which shall remain the property of the Club and may be used for:

    • Purchases of merchandise and services
    • Participation in club events
    • Identification as a member of the Club

Article IV: Finances and Assets

  • Funds: The club’s funds come from:

    • Membership subscriptions
    • Donations
    • Sales of merchandise and memorabilia
    • Events
  • Asset Management: The committee manages the club’s assets, including funds, equipment, and property.

Article V: Discipline and Governance

  • Code of Conduct: Members are expected to adhere to a code of conduct that promotes respect, safety,
    and sportsmanship.
  • Disciplinary Procedures: The committee has procedures for addressing misconduct and disciplining
    members.

Article VI: Meetings and Voting

  • Annual General Meetings: The club holds an annual general meeting to elect committee members,
    review financials, and conduct other business.
  • Special General Meetings: Special general meetings can be called to address specific issues or
    make important decisions.
  • Voting: Members have the right to vote on important issues, with each member having one vote.
