December Off-road training day at Zevenwacht 8th December 2024
WHAT WE COVER: BMWMCC OFF-ROAD TRAINING DAYS: LEVELS 1, 2 & PILLIONS
Our training team offers Level 1, 2 and pillion Off Road training is as per BMW curriculum.
We prefer and recommend riders to do Level 1 first and then move to Level 2. This way we know they have covered the basics. Also, riders with a new bike to should come and do a refresher of Level 1 or 2 depending on their riding abilities as each bike has its own bonding space and dynamics. Only 1 level can be completed on a day.
The training
– Theory on motorcycle riding gear, safety, rider position, bike set-up, dynamics of the BMW bike and tyre pressures for various terrains.
– Level 1: Explaining and adjusting the motorcycle, ABS de-activation, rider position, Off Road steering, cone riding, balancing, picking up the bike, leading the bike, slow riding, braking.
– Level 2: Bike set-up, tyre pressures, rider position, cone riding, body position, off-camber riding and steering, stopping and pulling away against an incline, uphill & downhill riding, sharp turns. High speed braking on gravel, going around obstacles. Bike recovery and if the group’s progress is quick enough and everybody seems competent then we will do a technical ride up a 4×4 track, gymkhana, sand and trail riding.
Remember our rules still apply, you only do what you feel comfortable with. Come and have fun on that GS and challenge yourself.
We also cater for other brands. Feel free to invite your friend/s on his Yamaha, KTM, Triumph, etc.
Cost will cover training fee, coffee and muffins and a lunch
Members for level 1 or 2: R1050 [Members will need to log in to get the discounted price]
Non-Member Level 1 or 2: R1250
Pillions per couple, Member: R1500 [Members will need to log in to get the discounted price]
Pillions per couple, Non-Member: R1750

We are fortunate to use the facilities at Zevenwacht Wine Estate https://zevenwacht.co.za/, for most of our training days. We will also make use of other training terrains, depending on the event and/or weather.
The training days are presented in a fun and relaxed way….no losers…all winners!!!! Emphasis on safety and to bond with your dream machine.
