Breakfast Run organised by Martin and Laraine

Breakfast Ride to The Red Apple Eatery – Bushmans – 14th March 2021

We met on Sunday at Continental Motorrad on a perfect morning for riding; we had a great turnout of 42 members with 27 bikes and one car.   After having a hot cup of coffee and cookies, thanks to Shane and Continental Motorrad, we left for Bushmans on the N2.

Charl Gerber took the lead and rode at a constant speed with everybody riding staggered formation behind him which resulted in all the bikes riding safely.  Martin Verrall and Francois Terblanche brought up the rear to ensure everyone arrived at the venue.

The 26 bikes arrived at the venue and enjoyed a fantastic breakfast. The food and venue was fantastic. Reluctant to leave the restaurant the members formed small groups and headed back home. Thanks to all that joined and made the day memorable!

Full set of photos are available on our Face book page and website.

Next Social – Will be held on the 14th April @ German Club 18.00pm for 18.30pm.

There will be an attendance draw at the social.

Pitch and Ride – Every Sunday from Engen Garage 08.00 for 08.30 am (except on breakfast runs)

Breakfast Ride – Sunday 18th April 07.30 for 08.00am TBA

To the whole Committee thank you.

Our club promotes safe riding and therefore we would like to ask the members to ride in staggered formation and always keep the person behind you in site.  We also urge the members to stick to the speed limit.  Normally when the club organizes a ride, the group will re-group at certain points on route to ensure that all are safe and that you didn’t get lost.  Also members must ride in their own comfort zone.  We trust that you would enjoy the festivities of the club and looking forward to seeing you and your partner at the next club event.

For a bit of humor:

Her: Dear diary, I’m scared my husband is cheating on me. Today he came home from work late. He didn’t say where he was. He didn’t hug me, and he didn’t talk to me. He seemed distracted during dinner, and when I asked him what’s wrong he said “Nothing.” We went to bed and made love and he didn’t seem like himself. I’m scared.

His: Dear diary, my damn bike wouldn’t start after work today. I pushed it home and spent an hour in the garage with it, and I can’t figure it out. I don’t want to have to take the car to work tomorrow. But, I did get laid tonight.

There’s a fellow who is an avid rider. Actually he’s a motorcycle fanatic. He has not missed a weekend of motorcycle riding in years. Every Saturday and Sunday morning he gets up very early and goes meets his buddies for a nice long ride.  On this one morning, he gets up early, dresses quietly, gets his riding gear out of the closet, and goes out to the garage to prepare to leave. While out there it started raining a torrential downpour. There was snow mixed with the rain and the wind is blowing at 60 kmh. He comes back into the house and turns the TV to the Weather Channel. From there he finds it’s going to be bad weather all day long. So he puts his bike back into the garage and comes back inside.   He quietly undresses and slips back into bed where he cuddles up to his wife’s back, and whispers, “The weather out there is terrible.”

To which she replies, “Can you believe my stupid husband is out riding his bike today?”

This guy has always dreamed of owning a Harley Davidson. One day he has finally saved up enough money so he goes down to the dealer and he picks out the perfect bike. While getting all the paperwork together, the dealer tells him about an old biker-trick that will keep the chrome on his new bike free from rust. The trick is to keep a jar of Vaseline handy and put it on the chrome before it rains, and everything will be fine. He happily pays for the bike and leaves.

A few months later, the young man meets a woman and falls in love. She wants him to meet her parents so she asks him to come to dinner. He readily accepts and the date is set. At the appointed time, he picks her up on his Harley and they ride to her parents’ house. Before they go in, she tells him that they have a family tradition that whoever speaks first after dinner must do the dishes.  They enter and the young man notices there are dirty dishes everywhere in the kitchen and living room, so he makes a note to not say a word.

After a delicious dinner everyone sits in silence waiting for the first person to break and get stuck doing the dishes. After a long fifteen minutes, the young man decides to speed things up. He reaches over and kisses his woman in front of her family. No one says a word. Emboldened, he throws her on the table and has sex with her in front of everyone. No one says a word. Now he is getting desperate, so he grabs her mother and throws HER on the table.

They have even wilder sex. No one says a word. He is wondering what to do next when he hears thunder in the distance. His first thought is to protect the chrome on his Harley, so he reaches in his pocket and pulls out his jar of Vaseline.       The father says “Okay dammit, I’ll do the dishes!”

Quote of the day:  “Our greatest battles are that with our own minds.” –Jameson Frank

To all the members and committee have a wonderful day.
