Join us for a fun-filled morning at the state of the art BMW xDrive Park at Waterfall in Midrand for a combined skidpan and xDrive day. The BMW Car Club Gauteng will be hosting an event at the exemplary BMW xDrive Park. Entries are limited and a maximum of 40 participants can be accomodated. The day will be split into the two events – 20 participants in their own vehicles will complete the waterless skidpan for six runs (3 mirrored) with the best 5 times to count. The other 20 participants will be accompanied by a BMW Driving Experience instructor to drive BMW’s new BMW X3s on the xDrive track to showcase the vehicle’s offroad capabilities. Half way through the event, the participants will swop so that everyone gets to compete in both the skidpan and the xDrive experience. Entry fee is R350 per person for members and R550 for non-members.  Booking and payment secures your spot.  (The club member discount code was sent in the club emailer sent 17 April 2023 – check your spam folder – add tickets to cart and click checkout and add the discount code there),

Spectators can attend free of charge  but will not be able to join in the off road drive. Parking is not available at the skidpan, however there is adequate parking 2 minutes away in the main car park at the xDrive offices. There is also no cover at the skidpan, so bring your umbrellas or apply your sunscreen. You can bring your own refreshments for the day, and there will be refreshments for sale at xDrive Park (cards only no cash)

The Championship is organised as a sub-committee of the BMW Car Club of Gauteng, but will include members from other car clubs as well. All types of cars will be allowed, road and race cars. Road cars will be allowed to have freedom to have certain performance enhancing modifications, more than one would think to be allowed, so that the drivers can really dedicate themselves to spend time and effort to get their cars to a proper track-use spec, and to be rewarded for their effort, with cars that will set quick lap times.

We plan to host at least 3 events this year, of which will include Zwartkops Raceway and Redstar Raceway. All competitors will also be entered into an overall Time-Trial Series points competition. All car-clubs are invited, the more clubs enter, the more exciting the inter-club competition will become.

It promises to be fun filled, clean and exciting times on the race-tracks.

BMW CCG ///M Performance Parts Race Series Round 5 at the Regional Festival at Zwartkops Raceway

Show off your short circuit skills. Challenge your fellow club members at Formula K

Cars in the Park, South Africa’s biggest annual classic car event held at Zwartkops Raceway, will take place on Sunday the 6th of August 2023 with over 100 Car Clubs participating.

We have reserved stands 106 and 108 (on the outside of Turn 4) that can accommodate 70 cars, this event is ideally suited for those wanting to show off their classic and older BMWs (think E46 and older) as well as rare new BMW’s like the i8, M4 GTS, M760Li, M4 DTM etc. Due to the amount of cars participating in the event, all those with a fire extinguisher are kindly requested to bring it with.

Vehicles on show: First Two Adult Occupants Free, rest in car at R120 per person at the gate or R100 at iTicket.  Children under 12 enter for free
Please take note that free entrance to the track will only be allowed  from 06:00 till 09:30

Cars allowed on Track – Pre 1985 as well as vehicles from members of participating clubs

BMW Car Club Gauteng Club Clothing and Merchandise (Regalia) will be sold on the day. 

So definitely pack some snacks and some refreshments (although a wide variety of food and drink can be purchased at the event) and the wife and kids if you like and come and enjoy the camaraderie of your fellow Club members. There will be plenty of other marques on display just in case we cannot contain you.

Great Event for the entire family: Kids Play Area, Go-Karting, Motoring Art & Craft Market, Flea Market, Commercial Exhibitors Displaying Motor Related Products.

Please ensure that you register early as space is limited to 70 cars, entrance for BMW Car Club members will be free until 9h30 am, which includes one passenger (please ensure you bring your BMW Car Club card or PDF confirmation) each additional passenger will be required to pay.
